We’re an Essex-based Reformer Pilates studio ... and we are so much more than that.

 

Yes, we’re all about strong cores and mindful movement, but we want to build a genuine community.

 

Think: inclusive classes, community-led events, tailored classes for new mums on their pre & postnatal journeys and maybe even a retreat or two!

 

This is more than Pilates. It’s a space to move, connect, and grow — together.

Why the name Storm & Bloom ?

At Storm & Bloom, our name tells the story behind everything we believe Pilates is about.

 

Pilates is often seen as a gentle, “easy” workout — but we know it’s so much more than that.

Storm symbolises the strength, determination, and energy it takes to push through challenges and grow stronger every day.

Bloom represents the beautiful transformation and personal growth that comes from showing up, putting in the work, and embracing your journey.

 

Together, Storm & Bloom celebrates both the power it takes to face the storm and the incredible blossoming that follows.

*the name was also inspired by our pup Storm!!

Reformer Pilates is a dynamic, full-body practice performed on a specialised piece of equipment known as a reformer - designed to improve strength, flexibility, and posture through controlled resistance and mindful movement.

 

With its gliding carriage, adjustable springs, and supportive straps, the reformer allows for highly personalised sessions that challenge the core, sculpt the body, and promote deep body awareness... and often bring on those satisfying Pilates shakes!

 

At Storm & Bloom, we’re passionate about delivering thoughtful, effective classes in a supportive space where you can move with intention, reconnect with your body, and elevate your overall wellness.

How often do I need to come to see results?

Consistency is key with Pilates.
 

As Joseph Pilates famously said: “In 10 sessions you’ll feel the difference, in 20 you’ll see the difference, and in 30 you’ll have a whole new body.”


We recommend coming 2–3 times a week to start seeing noticeable improvements in strength, posture, and overall wellbeing. Whether you're here for movement, mindset, or both — regular practice, paired with expert guidance and a supportive community, is where the real transformation happens.
